Halo

Building the next big brand in solar energy

Community solar is a simple but radical idea: it sources energy from solar farms, instead of rooftop panels. CVE, a leader in renewable energy, wanted to enter this nascent market in select US states. They asked us to create a new brand from the ground up that would introduce this new offering to a new audience.

Through research, we learned that the concept of community solar offered consumers a range of benefits. It wasn’t just a cheaper electricity bill—without the hassle and up-front cost of installing solar panels, it provided a simple way to make a positive impact on the environment.

from expensive and complex source of energy
to simple way to power the change

We built the components of the brand: name (Halo), positioning (based on a brand idea “a simple way to power the change”), tagline (“Do the bright thing”), plus a logo and visual system. Halo launched in 2019 as a powerful call to action to diversify our energy sources.
